OFFICE HOURS - DAILY INTAKES 

Monday thru Friday (9 am to 4 pm) 

With the support of the Huey and Angelina Foundation, we will launch the Step One Program. The goal is to provide the first months rent, transportation assistance and other resources to qualified job ready single females.  This money pays for them to stay in our transitional house and participate in other programs offered to help them reach self sufficency.  The females must be job-ready they must have an up-to-date resume and have completed a job- ready training. 

The New Beginnings Safe House program provides transitional housing for homeless females.  We accept females who meet the qualification including: formely incarcerated, former substance abuse users, domestic violence victims and those living with HIV/AIDS. Call 225-223-6470 for an appointment and ask about the rental fees. 

THE LIFE SKILLS CENTER:

Opens Monday - Friday (10 am to 2pm) 

Our goal is to help these women reach self-sufficieny by providing 

  1. Assisting with developing social skills
  2. Independent living skills
  3. Job readiness classes
  4. Budgeting classes
  5. One on One Mentoring
